Reality Winner, a former decorated Air Force veteran, pleaded guilty on 6/26/18 to one count of mishandling classified information in exchange for a sentence of 5 years and 3 months in prison. This is an exceptionally harsh sentence for a first time offense in what amounted to a national public service.
